Maximum Results uses state of the art MedX equipment. MedX is the most technologically advanced fitness, sports and medical/rehabilitation equipment available. The capabilities of MedX equipment are unprecedented. Each piece in the product line is designed to achieve efficiency in training by offering resistance curves matched to tested and proven stretch profiles. MedX strength training machines operate at a very low level of friction and offer a choice of resistance in 2-pound increments. This maximizes a trainee’s chances of setting a weight that’s just right - not too heavy and not too light – for rapid and steady progress. Biomechanical precision and low-friction operation make MedX state of the art. These above reasons are why we at Maximum Results chose to use the MedX line in the implementation of our training protocol. Using a version of the "Slow Burn Method" the friction less environment coupled with the slight increases is weight make for a very intense, efficient and effective workout. In addition, engineering excellence and high-grade components mean that MedX equipment requires virtually no maintenance other than cleaning, and is backed by a 5-year warranty on moving parts and 10 years on the frame.
The MedX Corporation was founded in 1986 by Arthur Jones; founder and retired Chairman of Nautilus Sports/Medical Industries, Inc. MedX was established to continue the research and development projects initiated in the 1970's by Arthur. The goal was to perfect the first meaningful tools for testing human functional ability, strength, muscular endurance and ranges of joint motion. These machines provided the medical community with the first tools capable of producing specific and accurate tests of functional ability, as well as the additional capability of providing the best source of rehabilitative exercise. The medical machines which are available through physician referrals have helped ten of thousands of people reduce or eliminate their body pain.
Following the development of the medical units, MedX then applied the knowledge gained to the design of a full line of exercise-only machines intended for general use. Providing a minimum of several hundred levels of available resistance in increments of 2ft-lbs. these machines for the first time made it possible for any person to select the exact level of resistance required regardless of their strength. With the high quality and operation of our MedX equipment at Maximum Results our clientele is making leaps and bounds in the quality and quantity of their results. Equipment Details and Explanation:
- 2-pound weights: Weights can be increased 2 pounds at a time, simply by inserting a pin.
- Patented Compound Weight Stack: Base plates of 20 pounds each combine with the upper stack of nine 2-pound plates to accommodate both gradual increases and-depending on the exercise-up to 1,200 pounds of total resistance.
- Safer Stroke: Every element of the machine drive train is designed to achieve vertical weight stack movement of only one foot on a full-range repetition; about half of what other equipment produces. Reducing inertia enhances safety.
- Reduced User Strain: The unique design of MedX equipment places the weight stack approximately 18 inches off the ground, reducing or eliminating the need to bend down to pin the resistance.
- Low-Friction Function: By eliminating friction-inducing weight stack guide rods, lowering inertia by shortening weight stack vertical travel to one foot, and using ball bearings throughout the machine, repetitions on MedX equipment have a smoothness that can’t be matched.
- Low-Maintenance Ball Bearings: MedX equipment uses only high-precision sealed or shielded anti-friction ball bearings that require grease injections only about once per year.
- High-grade Upholstery: MedX upholstery is made from GenCorp’s Boltaflex fabric with a PreFixx protective finish. This easy-care, bacteria-resistant fabric meets Federal flammability specifications and Life Safety Code Standards while providing the utmost in user comfort and body support. Boltaflex is offered in 13 colors selected to fit in beautifully with any décor.
- Quality Materials: All materials used meet the standards of the American Society of Testing and Materials.
- Painted Heavy-Gauge Steel: MedX products are made with heavy-gauge cold-rolled steel and painted with chip- and scratch-resistant Polane® Polyurethane Enamel coatings from Sherwin Williams.
